“Pediatricians have a message for fathers: You’re more important to your child’s health and well-being than you – and we – might have realized.”

It turns out the presence of a father is a major determinant of a child’s health – and a full relationship with his children is a major factor in the health of a father.

This week is Canadian Men’s Health Week and the Canadian Centre for Men and Families is proud to be a partner organization.

Help us mark this important week by supporting our programs for healthy fathers and families such as our Fathering After Separation or Divorce group, individual counselling for men and fathers and our Legal Assistance Clinic for fathers fighting on behalf of their children.

Yes, I’ll donate now so we can celebrate Fathers Day and Men’s Health Week by keeping more fathers healthy!

When we keep fathers healthy we empower them to keep children and families healthy. Children need healthy fathers involved in their lives. Fathers face high rates of depression and suicide after divorce and loss of custody of their children.

There’s a lot people don’t know about the health of men and fathers!
